What Youāll Find
White Park Bay is a wide, sandy beach along the Causeway Coastal Route. It is much quieter and wilder than many of the North Coastās busier beaches.
The beach is reached by a walk of around 700 yards from the car park. The route includes uneven ground, slopes and steps, so it can feel like a little adventure before you even reach the sand.
Once you arrive, there is plenty of space for walking, digging, exploring the rocks and enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery.
Cattle graze around White Park Bay at certain times of the year and can sometimes be spotted wandering across the beach. They are part of the National Trustās conservation work, so give them plenty of space and keep dogs on leads.
The sea here has dangerous rip currents and is not considered safe for swimming or watersports.
For the Grown Ups
There are no cafĆ© or toilet facilities at White Park Bay, so bring everything youāll need with you.
Ballintoy and Ballycastle have plenty of places to stop for coffee, lunch or an ice cream before or after your beach adventure.
