What You'll Find

Ward Park is one of Bangor's best-loved family parks and it's easy to see why. With over 30 acres of green space, there's plenty to explore whether you're visiting for a quick play or spending the whole afternoon outdoors.

The recently upgraded play park is a huge hit with little adventurers, featuring climbing frames, slides, swings, balancing equipment and inclusive play features suitable for a wide range of ages.

Beyond the playground, you'll find beautiful walking paths, duck ponds, an aviary, colourful flower displays and plenty of open grass for picnics, football or simply letting the kids run free. There are also tennis courts, bowling greens, a cricket pitch and a picturesque bandstand that hosts live music during the summer months.

It's the perfect place to slow down, enjoy nature and make the most of a sunny day.

For the Grown Ups

Ward Park is just a short walk from Bangor city centre, making it easy to grab a coffee or lunch before or after your visit. The peaceful lakes, mature trees and beautiful gardens make it just as enjoyable for adults as it is for children, and there are plenty of benches dotted around the park if you fancy sitting back while the little ones play.
