Hillsborough forest park is set within 150 acres of mixed woodlands. Lots of work has been put into this forest park. It now has upgraded pathways throughout. With a lake, viewpoints, a historical fort, sculpture trail and plenty of wildlife. A simple circular route just under 2.5 miles with the play park halfway around the lake.

This play park is just brilliant. Fantastically designed and made using natural equipment that compliments the environment.  There are wide slides, tunnel slides, scramble nets, climbing walls, balance beams, stepping logs and so much more.

Take a trek around the forest park and find the 10 sculptures, you can even download the app which will take you on a journey through the forest, leading you from one sculpture to the next and providing an exciting and interactive experience. Once you complete the trail, you’ll be rewarded with a range of discounts in the nearby village of Royal Hillsborough. We took a left from the car park (facing the lake) then you start at sculpture number 1. The play park is half way round then you continue around the lake to finish the sculpture trail.
