This is a 241 day out, With Helens Bay beach and Crawfordsburn Country park.
Helen’s Bay is located on the northern County Down coast, The beach is safe, clean, and easy to reach it’s just to the west of the town of Bangor. It’s only a 20-minute drive from Belfast. With some great views across Belfast Lough towards Whitehead and the Blackhead Lighthouse. The beautiful beach is around 5km in length, a lovely sandy beach with clear water great for taking a dip, it has even been awarded a Green Coast award. Helens Bay beach is backed onto by the wooded headlands of Crawfordsburn Country Park.
Crawfordsburn is great for wee explorers to go on an adventure. Shady woodland walks, streams to splash through, and wide grassy patches for running. One of the park’s best loved secrets is its waterfall.
A newly refurbished play park is just up the road from the car park at Helens Bay. The whale themed play park is vibrant and fully enclosed with safety surfacing throughout.
