What You'll Find
If you're looking for one of the best free family days out on the Causeway Coast, Portstewart Crescent has everything you need for a full day of fun.
The play park has equipment suitable for a range of ages, with plenty of climbing, swinging and sliding.
On sunny days, the outdoor paddling pools become the star attraction, giving little ones the perfect place to splash and cool off. Right beside them you'll also find the famous dancing fountains, where children can run through the water jets while music and water displays create even more excitement.
One of our favourite parts of visiting Portstewart is the spectacular cliff walk. Starting beside Dominican College, the path hugs the coastline with incredible views over the Atlantic, rugged cliffs and rock pools below. It's buggy-friendly for much of the route before reaching the steps leading down towards Portstewart Strand, making it a fantastic walk for adventurous families.
For the Grown Ups
Parents are spoilt for choice here too.
Grab a coffee from one of the many cafés overlooking the sea, treat everyone to a famous Morelli's ice cream or enjoy lunch while taking in the coastal views. There are plenty of benches dotted along the promenade, making it easy to relax while the children play.
The cliff walk is equally enjoyable for adults, offering some of the most beautiful coastal scenery anywhere in Northern Ireland.
