Nestled in the heart of County Tyrone, Pomeroy Forest Park is one of Northern Irelandās best-kept secrets and itās a wee adventurerās dream! With magical woodland trails, fairy-tale bridges, and just enough mud to keep wellies happy, this forest is perfect for families looking to stretch their legs and their imaginations
The forest trail is a manageable 2ā3 km loop, depending on how many detours your wee ones take to investigate crunchy leaves or suspiciously troll-like tree roots. There are clear signposts and helpful map boards, the wooden sculptures are located in intervals along the route. Which makes for walking with oneself easy as they are āon the huntā for the next one.
Park at the top (not by the play park) by the new forest centre. This way you start the trail at the beginning, follow the red arrows and then roughly half way you have the play park as a pit stop. Then head back to do the other half of your journey.
