I absolutely love Halloween! From fancy dress, to trick or treating, spooky events, pumpkin picking or carnival and parades. There are so many Halloween tricks, treats and fun this October, all across Northern Ireland. (I will update this blog as more events get advertised)
Derry Halloween
Head to Derry/Londonderry for the Awakening of The Walled City. From 28 - 31 October, the city comes alive with festivities and enchantments. This Halloween festival began over 35 years ago in Castle Bar. It started out as a simple costume party and is now one of the largest Halloween celebrations in Europe.
Streamvale Farm
Here at Streamvale farm you can pick you own pumpkin from thousands and then carve it in the designated marquee. Get your dancing shoes on at the broomtastic disco! Or head to the spooky maze, follow the trail and meet real life characters. You will also find witches in the witches kitchen. Also on offer is the tractor and barrel rides, cuddle time with some cute animals and the play areas. Guaranteed a FANG-tastic time.
Let's Go Hydro
What a fabulous autumn experience for the family. The pumpkin patch here is great. Not only undercover (incase of the unpredictable weather) there is a bouncy castle, hay bale pyramid, and equipment to carve out your pumpkin. You can also find tractor/trailer rides a roller disco and the dragon boats. Feeling brave you can even hear some spooky ghost stories!
The Haunted Express
Head to Santas Magical Christmas shop in Coalisland to take a journey on the haunted express to Cursed Willow Woods. This spooktacular train ride will take your family onto a state of the art train simulator which is visually stunning with 3D graphics and effects. Experience a simulated ride on the train to the Cursed Willow woods with full surround sound and special movement effects.
Crumlin Road Gaol
What a fantastic setting for a Halloween experience here at Crumlin Road Gaol. At this haunted prison their Halloween Extravaganza includes a Spook-tacular Jail Tour of course the main attraction - The Pumpkin Patch!
You can also visit the petting farm and meet Larry the Llama, Lexi the miniature cow, Pappa the pig and all their farmyard friends. They also have a one of a kind live interactive halloween musical, where the West End come to North Belfast!
Montalto Estate
Head to Montalto Estate for an enchanted family Witch’s Wander this Halloween.
Pick your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, and carve it out. Get your face painted or hear some puppet storytelling. With a kids disco, photo opportunities and access to the trail, gardens and their fantastic play area. This is one pumpkin patch you don't want to miss.
The Jungle
The Jungle runs its HALLOWEE’UNS‘ event, which is specifically for young kids and their families. Filled with wicked, weird and wonderful activities. During the event you can enjoy some pumpkin picking (you get to actually pick your pumpkins) and carving, a haunted haycart ride where you’ll hear some spooky stories and a host of other adventure activities.
