What You’ll Find

If your little adventurers love animals, Dyan Mill Farm is a fantastic family day out that's packed with hands-on experiences. This friendly farm offers the perfect mix of meeting animals, outdoor play and plenty of space to explore.

You'll find a wonderful variety of animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and more. Throughout the day there are opportunities to feed many of the animals, making the experience extra memorable for little visitors.

As well as the animals, there's plenty to keep children entertained with outdoor play areas, ride-on tractors, sand play and open spaces where kids can run, climb and burn off energy at their own pace. It's the sort of place where children can happily spend several hours exploring without feeling rushed.

Seasonal events also make every visit a little different, with special activities often taking place during school holidays.

For the Grown Ups

Parents will appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and the lovely cafƩ, making it easy to enjoy a coffee while the children play nearby.

The farm is well laid out, with plenty of seating dotted around and a welcoming family feel throughout. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about the animals, always happy to chat and answer children's questions.

Why We Loved It

āœ…We loved how interactive the whole experience felt. Rather than simply looking at animals, children get the chance to feed them, meet them up close and really connect with the farm.

āœ…There was a lovely balance between animal encounters and play, meaning the children stayed entertained from start to finish. It never felt overcrowded or rushed, allowing families to enjoy the day at their own pace.

Wee Adventurers Top Tips

⭐ Wear wellies or old shoes if the weather has been wet.

⭐ Bring some hand sanitiser, little hands will definitely want to meet every animal!

⭐ Allow at least 2–3 hours to make the most of everything the farm has to offer.

⭐ Check their social media before visiting to see if any seasonal events or animal experiences are taking place.

Overall Verdict

Dyan Mill Farm is one of those family attractions that ticks all the boxes. Friendly animals, interactive experiences, great play areas and a relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal day out for young families.

Whether you're introducing toddlers to farm animals for the first time or looking for somewhere different to spend a few hours outdoors, this is definitely one to add to your Northern Ireland family bucket list.
