An Creagàn

Writer: Ana TurkingtonAna Turkington

🗻Located just off the Omagh road between Cookstown and Omagh at the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains. An Creagán is a fantastic place to bring your wee ones. There is so much to do here all while being immersed in nature.

🪵In the wild woods children can explore the treehouse, climb up the banks and swing in the trees.

🪴Pop to the play garden and make mud pies in the mud kitchen, splash in the stream or play a tune on the outdoor piano.

🛖 You can explore the heritage sites and see how people used to live in the Bronze Age.

🐞Roam free and wander around the boardwalk trail looking for the bugs, beasties and animals.

🚵‍♀️ There are many walks and cycle trials on the grounds. Take in the breathtaking surroundings and enjoy the sights and sounds as you pedal or walk through the open landscape and forest trails. Most of the trails are also pram accessible and I would suggest bringing welllies as it can get muddy.

🥪Grab a sit down lunch in the cafe, open daily 10-4 or check out their amazing farm shop and coffee hut.

ℹ️ Parking is free and there are accessible toilets and baby change in the cafe. Self catering accommodation is also available if you are from further a field and fancy exploring the area for a few days.
