What You’ll Find

Andersonstown Leisure Centre is a brilliant indoor family adventure for children who love swimming, splashing and water slides.

The Aqua Play area is like an adventure playground in the water, with slides, rope bridges, water cannons, jets and a huge tipping bucket. It’s suitable for children under 12 and is a great way to build confidence in the water while still feeling like playtime.

Younger children can enjoy the Little Lagoon toddler pool, which has shallow water and a wide slide designed so adults and children can use it together.

Family Fun Swim sessions include access to the Aqua Play area, Little Lagoon and the main swimming pool. Families with older and more confident children can book a water-slide session, which also includes access to these areas.

There are three high-speed water slides for bigger adventurers, including a dramatic drop slide. Age, height and swimming restrictions apply, so check the requirements before booking.

The centre is also home to Northern Ireland’s only indoor surf simulator, along with a teaching pool, main swimming pool and other bookable activities.

For the Grown Ups

There are family changing rooms, baby-changing facilities, accessible toilets and equipment to help visitors access the pool.

Free parking is available on site, and the café is handy for a drink or something to eat after your swim. The sessions are timed, which makes it easier to plan the rest of your day, but remember that changing time is included within your session.

Top Tips

⭐️ All family swim and water-slide sessions must be booked in advance

⭐️ Sessions last up to 50 minutes, including changing time, so arrive early and be ready to enter promptly

⭐️ Book a Family Fun Swim if your children want Aqua Play and Little Lagoon without using the high-speed slides

⭐️ Check all age, height and swimming restrictions before booking the water slides

⭐️ Bring towels, swimwear and any goggles or armbands your children normally use

⭐️ Phones aren’t permitted within the pool area, so take any photos before entering

⭐️ Check the online timetable because session times change throughout the week and during school holidays
