Equal Opportunities Policy

This policy outlines our commitment to Access and Inclusion for Wee Adventurers Play Hub. We recognise that some people are particularly likely to experience discrimination and harassment are committed to making sure all activities are as inclusive and welcoming as possible. Wee Adventurers Play Hub is committed to treating all people equally and with respect irrespective of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.


  1. Our venue is accessible to wheelchair users and pushchairs.

  2. Where possible we also offer different forms of communication including pictorial, written and verbal to cater for different accessibility needs.

  3. Our communications to our audiences will be considered and directed through various medias for accessibility including, posters, social media, email, phone calls, website. Where we produce marketing material, we will always consider language uses, fonts and colours, alignment and size of fonts to encourage access for all.

  4. Every participant and customer should be made to feel equally welcome.

Inclusion and Respect

  1. Every participant and customer of Wee Adventurers Play Hub should be made to feel equally welcome and included at all sessions and should be aware of how to make it known if this is not the case. We will support people who feel they have been harassed or discriminated against and will not victimise or treat them less well because they have raised this.

  2. Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise offensive and inflammatory remarks and behaviour are not acceptable by anyone.

  3. Respecting children and parents/ carers for who they are and encourage the children to respect others.

  4. Ensuring all customers are given the same opportunities and any barriers identified are appropriately addressed according to individual needs.

  5. Providing a environment which positively reflects the background and differing races, cultures, gender, abilities and experiences of children and families.

  6. I will ensure that the toys/books etc. provided reflect positive images of children and adults from different cultures and with different abilities.

  7. Raising awareness of and promoting an understanding of differences and similarities between ourselves and others.
